Privacy policy: SellerFile Sales Counter

Chrome extension version 0.1.0. Last updated 27 October 2026.

In short: the extension reads your own Vinted and eBay sold-items or orders pages when you open them, counts your sales, and keeps the result on your computer. We never see your sales. Nothing is sent to us or anyone else. The only file that ever leaves the extension is the CSV you choose to download.

Who we are

SellerFile is run by Richard Fleming, a sole trader in the United Kingdom. Contact: sellerreportuk@gmail.com.

What the extension reads

Only these pages, and only when you have them open in your browser:

From each sale shown on screen it notes: the item title, the sale price, the date, the order status and the order number. It does not read buyer names, addresses, messages, your password or payment details.

The extension does not click, type, scroll, buy, list or change anything on these sites. It cannot see any other website.

It also saves two settings (the euro exchange rate and whether to read pages automatically) and a note of the last page it read.

If you use “Add sales from a file”, the file you pick or the text you paste is read inside the extension on your computer.

Where it is kept

In your browser's own extension storage (chrome.storage.local) on this computer. It is not synced to your Google account and not sent to SellerFile, Vinted, eBay, HMRC or anyone else. The extension has no server and contains no code that connects to the internet. Its security settings also block its own pages from making any network connection.

Downloads

When you press “Download CSV”, the extension makes a file on your computer. What you do with that file is up to you.

What we don't do

Deleting your data

Open the extension, go to “Settings and your data” and press “Delete all my data”. Removing the extension from Chrome also deletes everything it saved.

Legal basis (UK GDPR)

All processing happens on your own device, for your own use. SellerFile does not receive or control any of it, so we are not processing your personal data. If that ever changes (for example a paid version with an account), we will update this policy and ask you first.

Not tax advice

The counter is a guide. Platforms use their own records and the amount they paid you after fees. Check the rules on GOV.UK.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above and say what changed in the Chrome Web Store release notes.
